The Bucket List has been around for a while. Yet, it really became popular once the movie “The Bucket List” came out. Senior citizens who are at the age of retirement and who have found that they have more time on their hands will find that this is the best time to start checking items off of their bucket list. The idea of the bucket list is to list those items that you want to do before you die, or visit those places that you have always wanted to see, yet never had the time to do this. Now you have the time, and there is no better time than now to start checking off items from the bucket list you have compiled.
There are several things that a person can include on their bucket list, yet many times a person may miss some of the things that they should include on their list. The following are just a few ideas of what the person will not want to miss, and will definitely want to include on their bucket list:
- Witness a miracle: This is something that several seniors write down and it is possible if you keep your eyes and ears open.
- Visit the Great Wonders of the World: Several seniors will find that this can be easily done if they have the retirement income to do this. They will want to visit the Grand Canyon, the Pyramids in Egypt, and all the other wonders that have made the list for years.
- Consider looking at what is considered the modern wonders of the world. These include the Channel Tunnel in England, the CN Tower in Canada, the Empire State Building in New York, the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, and so forth.
These are the most commonly held bucket list items. But, for those seniors who want to branch out, or they may not want to travel, below are a few suggestions that can easily be accomplished, yet are things that a person may have never accomplished before:
- Solve a Rubik’s cube
- Eat at a five star restaurant
- See Area 51
- Finally finish a jigsaw puzzle
- Watch the 100 best movies of all time
- Drive your dream car
- Start and finish your family tree
- Find a cause and donate your time
- Help someone in need
- Visit a museum
- See whales in the ocean
- Learn a new language
- Read a classic novel
No matter what you want to do, this can be included on your bucket list. For those who may be adventurous, they will find that taking flying lessons or going sky diving could be something that they try to do before they die. The whole idea is to have those items that you can try to accomplish, while truly getting to enjoy the experience. Thanks to fact that you are now retired, you can dedicate more time to accomplishing your bucket list and enjoying doing so with your loved ones. Remember to dream big when making your bucket list and try to make this happen, no matter what.
